The entertainment company we’d want to hire.
Our main goal is to always be the entertainment company we would want to hire if we were in our customers’ shoes. How do we do that? By challenging ourselves to keep improving.
The difference is our versatility.
We do more. As a DJ, Jazcat specializes in many genres, not just one or two. As a company, we offer several services to make events the best they can be — DJ, karaoke, photo booth and lighting. We cover more territory and go more places than most companies, and operating in 20+ counties is key to constantly improving.
We provide services for every type of event. We love what we do. While most companies in our industry focus mainly on weddings, we believe a wider event focus makes us better at everything we do — weddings included.

All about the music.
Music is part of virtually everything — now more than ever. Go anywhere and listen: you will likely hear music. Turn on the TV: everything has its own signature pop song or jingle. That’s where Jazcat comes in.
Jazcat Mobile Entertainment is the creation of Jamie Larson, DJ Jazcat. “From the time I was a young boy in Rocklin, California, I was drawn to the power of music. The Beach Boys were first, then the catchy, timeless songs of the 70s — ELO, the Bee Gees, Boz Scaggs and Queen.
“Then a childhood in the 80s unlocked who I would become. I soaked up the music and pop culture of shows like Miami Vice — the first show to weave music into the story the way it did — and countless hours of Tears For Fears, Huey Lewis, Run DMC, Bon Jovi, Duran Duran, the Beastie Boys, Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, the Pretenders, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana and Led Zeppelin.
“MTV, radio, movies, concerts, music collecting and working in record stores all prepared me for the day Jazcat launched.
“The constant, never-ending search for the best song I’ve never heard drives me to keep learning and expanding our library. We innovate our services, and use our skills and passion to offer the best entertainment for your event.”

The names in our five-star reviews.
- Founder · DJ & MC“DJ Jazcat”
Jamie Larson
Passionate about animal welfare and the ongoing search for the best song he’s never heard. Away from the decks: his daughter and their cats, the Cubs, pizza and long road trips with XM radio. Favorites run from Pink Floyd, DJ Shadow and Depeche Mode to MF Doom, Cal Tjader and Koko Taylor — and Steely Dan, seen live about eight times. What he loves most about Jazcat is the constant new challenge, and the reward of guests having a great time.
Karaoke host“Joker”Shawn Kline
An entertainer and proud father, and one of Northern California’s most experienced karaoke hosts, with weekly shows over the years at many of Sacramento’s busiest bars and clubs — Louie’s, Badlands, Faces, 7440 Club, Stoney’s Rockin’ Rodeo — and El Lopo in San Francisco. Off the mic he works as a handyman and makes his own art.
Photo booth attendant“Funky Cold Medina”Adam Medina
A true jack of all trades: a US Army veteran who served as a medic, a CMT, and a pool guy. Extremely outgoing, which makes him a natural photo booth attendant — he’s mentioned by name in many of our five-star reviews.
Photo booth attendant“J. Freeze”Jeff McNeil
A natural photo booth attendant with a welcoming smile that puts everyone at ease. He has more friends than anyone you’ll ever meet, and he’s passionate about his hip hop career, quoting comedians, and the Baltimore Ravens.
Photographer“Grandma Sue”Susan Difuntorum
Has had a camera in her hands since she can remember, and runs her own photo booth company. A mother, grandmother and proud 23-year veteran of the US Air Force — that relative who takes pictures at every family function to capture life’s most memorable moments.
Photo booth attendant“Mr. E”Mike Erickson
The life of the party. When he isn’t producing music or laying down vocals and heady rap lyrics, he’s watching the Kings and hanging out with Jake the cat and Buster the dog. He works for the Roseville School District, and helps guests let loose in the Jazcat Photo Booth.
Professionals we’ve worked alongside.
Photographers, videographers, caterers, florists, coordinators, bands and more — talent that left an impression at events across Northern California.
